Like everything else we write, this is in plain English. Here's what we collect, why, and what we'll never do with it.

What we collect

• Things you give us: your name, email, website address and anything you write in a form - when you request a web review, download a resource, join The Marketing Memo or contact us.
• Basic usage data: anonymous, privacy-respecting analytics about which pages get visited, so we can make the site better. No creepy cross-site tracking.

What we use it for

• Delivering the thing you asked for - your review, your resource, your reply.
• Sending you The Marketing Memo, if you signed up for it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
• Improving the website and our services.

What we will never do

• Sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
• Add you to lists you didn't ask to be on.
• Keep emailing you after you unsubscribe.

Where it lives

Form submissions go into our customer relationship system so we can reply and keep track of conversations. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. We keep data only as long as we need it for the purposes above.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hi@themarketingportal.com and we'll sort it - usually the same week, always within a month.

Cookies

We keep cookies to the minimum needed for the site to work and for the anonymous analytics above. No advertising cookies.
